Notes
The clients requested a spacious modern house that expressed its appreciation for outdoor living. An open plan and practical house that lived out onto the garden was of utmost importance to them. Consequently this custom design developed into a layout that encouraged such a lifestyle.
Moving through the house and catching a glimpse of the floating staircase, you are drawn in by the transparency and openness of this home. Escorted graciously through the living spaces into the garden, you are introduced to the main bedroom which appears like a floating block hovering in mid air. The concept of floating elements is evident from every perspective and vantage point; as a result this architectural design constantly draws attention.
One of the highlights of this design is the way the entrance entices your curiosity with long stone cladded screen walls, and once inside an interesting contrast is created by the transparency and openness of the home behind the solid entrance walls.
M Square Lifestyle Design made use of shutter concrete, rusted steel, natural wood and stone to marry creative form and function with the natural surroundings of the villa. MSquare Lifestyle Neccessities supplied the furniture, lighting and accessories from manufactures such as B&B Italia, Molteni and C, and Roda.
